Myths and Folktales

Myths are stories about the universe. It tells how it was made. Myths often had heros and/or gods or goddess. Gods and goddess are like people but with special powers, like Neptune is the god of the sea and Zues is the god of other gods and goddess. Gods are males and goddess are females. Myths were from Greece and Italy. They had similar believes. Italy's gods were from Greece's but the renamed them like the Greece god, Zeus, is Italy's god, Jupiter. Greece and Italy believe gods had control over the universe and made stories about their powers to tell their people. Their stories told about why things have happen.
Folktales are stories that were told by the word of mouth from generation to generation. They were made in Indian tribes. They were what they thought how the world was made.  Folktales could be millions years old. People would tell their children and they would tell their children.
